Cannabis factory found in Worthing

POLICE discovered a cannabis factory in an industrial unit in Worthing after being called when an alarm went off.

They found between 300 and 400 cannabis plants growing in a warehouse in Dale Road, off Meadow Road, on Saturday (July 23) at 1pm.

Officers responded to a report of an intruder alarm going off and found the haul of drugs inside the building.

No arrests have been made and investigations and searches of the premises are ongoing.

Police are appealing for any information about the cannabis factory or if anyone in the area has seen people visiting the site or acting suspiciously. Call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 0869 of 23/07.
