Car driven into supermarket wall

A CAR was driven into bollards at a Worthing supermarket.

At around 3pm today (May 16), the woman’s car became trapped between bollards and the wall of Waitrose, in the High Street.

The driver had been parking in the supermarket’s car park when the incident happened.

A police community support officer at the scene said she believed the woman had been driving an automatic car and pressed the accelerator rather than the brake.

Police and an ambulance attended the scene, but the woman was not hurt.
