Car set on fire in residential street

Firefighters were called to a car on fire in a residential street this morning (March 23) which is being treated as deliberate ignition, a fire spokeswoman said.

Fire crews from Littlehampton were called to the ‘alight car’ at 5.40am in Market Close, Barnham.

The spokeswoman from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire was being treated as ‘deliberate ignition’.

She said: “Police are now dealing with the incident. No one was hurt in the fire.”
