A ROAD collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at the junction of Cissbury Road in Worthing last night (Thursday, July 11) caused the closure of the road for two hours.

Witnesses reported that a light green Mini Cooper came out of Cissbury road and crashed into a Chrysler, pushing it around 50 metres up the road.

Jo Wise, of Upper Brighton Road, said: “There was an almighty bang.”

Emergency services attended the scene but no one was hurt.

The vehicles were removed by recovery firms.
