Police want to speak to this man after a serious assault happened in a Worthing nightclub.

A 33-year-old man was at the Liquid Lounge Nightclub in Worthing on Saturday, October 27, at 1am with a friend.

He was approached by a man who started talking to him but as he could not hear what he was saying he carried on dancing.

He was then punched in the face twice and knocked to the ground by the man, who continued to hit him.

The victim went to Worthing Hospital with a fractured jaw and was then transferred to St Richard’s Hospital at Chichester for facial surgery.

The suspect, captured on a CCTV image, is described as a mixed race man, about 5ft 10in, aged in his 30s, with short black cropped hair.

He was wearing a fitted grey round neck sweatshirt.

Detective Constable Laura Sinden said: “The victim suffered serious facial injuries and we are looking to identify a man thought to have been involved in the assault.

“If you know this man or can assist police call 101 quoting serial 0315 of 27/10.”
