STAFF at a Lancing firm have recently raised almost £2,000 for charity through a range of fundraising activities.
Employees at Eschmann Equipment in Peter Road, Lancing, raised £1,865.95 for St Barnabas House Hospice.
The company, which designs and makes medical equipment including operating tables, has also selected the Worthing-based hospice as its chosen charity for 2014.
Staff chose St Barnabas House as it has cared for various colleagues, family and friends over the years.
One employee was treated at St Barnabas over Christmas and New Year.
Eschmann’s managing director Philip Kennedy said: “We were all sad to lose a special member of our team just after Christmas.
“However, the care and support this individual and their family received was truly exceptional, reminding us all how vital this charity is to our local community.
“We are proud to have chosen St Barnabas House as our charity of the year and are looking forward to future fundraising activities and raising as much money as we possibly can.”
St Barnabas’ fundraising manager Neil Francis said: “We are overwhelmed by the fantastic support that Eschmann have given the hospice so far.”
“Charity-of-the-year partnerships are vital in helping to maintain the care services we provide and it is great to have this enthusiastic team on board.”
