SOMPTING is set to be the place for Christmas cheer this weekend.
St Mary’s and St Peter’s churches are holding a carol singing event from 4pm on Saturday (December 17).
Singers will start at the Gardeners Arms, in West Street, before making their way to Rectory House Nursing Home, via Alishaan Indian restaurant, the Marquis of Granby, and Newman’s Gardens.
The traditional nativity event will feature a donkey and sheep and will end with mulled wine and mince pies.
Sompting Parish Council and Lancing and Sompting Lions are getting together to celebrate Christmas by carols on Saturday (December 17) at 5pm, on Sompting Recreation Ground.
The event will feature Father Christmas and will finish at Sompting Village Hall, where there will be children’s games, refreshments and mulled wine with mince pies.
