One thing we could potentially see more of, if we do decide on a ‘Brexit’, is an increase in the rise of the staycation – people holidaying more in England as opposed to heading off for a fortnight in Spain.

News coming from currency exchange counters across the country also shows that we are becoming more adventurous with our travel destinations.

With more far-flung corners of the globe becoming accessible could we potentially have two-way traffic with more visitors to the UK from outside Europe?

We certainly need our tourist board to be pro-active and look at the potential of selling Worthing to a new marketplace as a quintessential English seaside town with great transport links to discover Sussex, London and more.

The more visitors spend in our town the more can be reinvested in making Worthing a destination resort.
