Assault on Worthing bridge

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a teenager on Monday evening (August 27).

The 17-year-old victim was walking north over Broadwater Bridge by the footpath which provides access to Bridge Road when the assault happened at 11.45pm.

The suspect grabbed the victim from behind holding him in a headlock and held something to his neck.

The victim managed to get free with no injuries.

There is believed to be one suspect, described as a white man, aged in his 30’s. He was about 6ft 3in tall with a stubbly beard and was wearing a black hoody with the hood up and white trainers.
