Man robbed at Worthing level crossing

A MAN was attacked and robbed in Worthing last week.

Police have just released details about the attack on Tuesday, December 27. The 19-year-old victim was grabbed from behind after he crossed the level crossing heading north on South Farm Road at around 7.35pm.

He was pushed to the ground and his black iPhone was stolen.

The attacker then ran off with another person over the level crossing towards the Cross Street entrance to Worthing railway station.

Police believe the incident was witnessed by three men who were standing outside the B&W corner shop at the junction of South Farm Road and Pavilion Road, and would like to speak to them.

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of robbery. She has been bailed until January 16.
