Police appeal for information after break-in

Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Worthing on Tuesday, July 19.

The victim left the property in Poulters Lane at around 5.15pm and came home half an hour later to find a window on the ground floor had been smashed.

There had been an untidy search of many rooms and it is believed a number of jewellery items were taken.

Detective constable Emma Fields said: “The victim had only left her home for a short time and it is possible she may have disturbed the suspect(s) as her purse, smart phone and iPad were left untouched in the kitchen.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time - and who saw anything suspicious - to get in touch.”
