Police seek witnesses after seven shops are targeted in Worthing

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to seven shop burglaries and attempted burglaries in Worthing.

There were four break-ins and attempted break-ins in the Cricketers Parade area of Broadwater, one in Downlands Parade and two in the town centre overnight between December 29 and 30.

The targeted shops were Quest Adventure in Ardsheal Road, Co-op in Ardsheal Road, Cardinal Health in Ardsheal Road, Muldoons Bakery in Cricketers Parade, Balloon Wrap and Decoration in Upper Brighton Road, Quantum Computers in Montague Street and HG Scadgell in Montague Street.

Officers believe the incidents to be linked.

Detective constable Sarah Thurgood of West Sussex CID said: “During these burglaries computers and money were stolen. We believe that the same people committed all these break-ins and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or been offered any computers for sale in the past few days.”
