A TEENAGER is in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach on Saturday (June 16) by two men in Worthing.
The 16-year-old girl was in Shakespeare Road when two men went into a property looking for a man who was not home at the time, according to police.
Police went to the property at around 3.45am, after a report of an assault.
The girl was found with a stab wound in her stomach, and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.
Detective constable Tony Taylor, of West Sussex CID, said: “This does not appear to be a random attack. It is believed that two men went to the property looking for a male occupant who was not home. They assaulted the girl and then left.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw two men acting suspiciously in the Shakespeare Road and Tarring Road area, between 3am and 4am on Saturday.”
Both men are described as black, approximately 6ft 1in, wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up, and a bandanna over their faces.
