Three rings stolen in Ferring burglary

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Foamcourt Waye, Ferring in which jewellery and cash were stolen.

The break-in happened some time between 5pm on July 15 and 6am the following day.

The burglars forced their way in through a rear bedroom window and stole property, including three valuable rings. These are described as an Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring, a white gold diamond and ruby cluster ring and a sapphire and diamond three-stone ring.

DC Faye Satchwell-Bennett, of West Sussex CID, said: “We urge anyone with any information about this break-in to please come forward. We also want to remind people of the importance of being vigilant in this hot weather and to remember to ensure all doors and windows are secured when leaving your property.”
