POLICE have said the death of a man on Worthing beach is not being treated as suspicious.
The body of a 54-year old local man was found by a member of the public just before 9am by a groyne on the beach at Marine Parade, between the pier and the lido.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. It is believed that he may have fallen or collapsed.”
The matter has now been referred to the coroners officer who will arrange a post-mortem.
