DETECTIVES are seeking a man who sexually assaulted a woman in broad daylight in Lancing.
The incident happened between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday, October 26, when the 48-year-old local woman was walking south near the bridge above the railway line in Grinstead Lane, Lancing.
A white van pulled up next to her and the driver got out, sexually assaulted her and drove off.
Police said the woman was very distressed but not physically injured.
The man is described as being in his early forties, with brown stubble, and was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt.
Detective Constable Emma Cruise said: “This seems to be an isolated incident at present, but are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who has been the victim of any similar incident in the area recently.
