Worthing break-in happened when occupant was home

NOTHING was taken when a woman found an intruder in her home.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a break-in in Stone Lane, Salvington, which occurred at around 7pm on Monday (June 25).

It happened after the woman occupant heard a noise in the room next door to the one she was in. A man then appeared at her door and asked for water for his car, which he said had broken down.

She gave him some water and he left in a silver MGF sports type car.

He is described as white, of medium to stocky build, with a shaved head, aged around 45-50 with a local accent.
