Worthing man hospitalised following brutal attack

A 34-year-old man from Worthing has been hospitalised after he was attacked by a gang of eight men in a Worthing residential road last night (Thursday, November 10).

The man is now in Worthing Hospital recovering from head injuries after he was attacked in Christchurch Road at around 7.45pm.

Two men aged 18 and 20 have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody this morning for questioning.

The victim remains in a stable condition.

Detective Inspector Pip Taylor from West Sussex CID said: “This was a disturbing incident and we would urge anyone who witnessed the attack or saw any suspicious activity prior to it, to please contact police immediately on 101 quoting serial 1540 of 10/11 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
