Dad who falsely sold tickets avoids jail

A MAN who pleaded guilty to eight counts of fraud after falsely selling V Festival tickets has avoided jail.

Jeffrey Hobson, 28, of Eriswell Road, Worthing, made £2,803.56 by listing tickets to the annual event on Ebay between March and May this year.

He appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, charged with fraud by misrepresentation, to which he pleaded guilty.

The court heard that Hobson, a married father of one, handed himself in to Worthing Police Station after being contacted repeatedly by one of his victims.
