A WORTHING grandfather is calling for more discipline and control of cyclists using the promenade.

Phil Abbott, who cycles each morning from his home in West Parade to Shoreham, says that it is only a matter of time before a fatality occurs.

He is calling for cyclists to dismount in vulnerable areas such as Coast Cafe and the children’s play area, as well as more prominent signage and the application of common sense.
