THE Herald would like to hear from anyone who knew Guardsman Michael Roland, the soldier who was killed after being shot in Afghanistan.
Guardsman Michael Roland, of the First Battalion Grenadier Guards, died on Friday (April 27).
The 22-year-old, who was born in Worthing, had been deployed to Afghanistan on April 3 as a rifleman in the Number Three Platoon, part of The Queen’s Company Grenadier Guards, and was based near Gereshk in the Nahr-e-Saraj north district of the Helmand province.
