Distinctive jewellery taken during burglary in Lancing

POLICE are appealing for anyone who has been offered distinctive rings in the last week to come forward.

Between 8pm on Friday, September 21, and 8am on Saturday, September 22, a house in The Drive was broken into.

The burglar forced open a window and stole a quantity of jewellery.

Detective constable Andy Hobden said: “The jewellery was very sentimental to the home owner and they are desperate to have them returned. Four rings were taken and are described as an 18 carot white gold with a sapphire stone, two yellow gold ring, one with a black diamond and one with a ruby and diamond and an 18 carat gold ring with a ruby.

“They are distinctive and anyone who has been offered these rings is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1528 of 22/9.”
