AFTER a traumatic month, a ginger cat abandoned in a car park has found a new home.
Sabrina Stubbs read about the cat in the Worthing Herald and said the story pulled at her heart strings.
The cat was abandoned in freezing temperatures at the car park in North Farm Road, Lancing.
It was found by Worthing and Adur Councils’ waste depot worker Jeff Lumley and rescued by Stacey McSpirit at Paws sanctuary in Findon.
Sabrina, 26, said: “I read the story and just couldn’t believe anyone could be so cruel, and have no thought or feeling for the little cat.
“I arranged to visit Paws and Stacey said I was the first person the cat would come out to see – I took it as a good sign and said I wanted to re-home him.”
Sabrina has called the cat Basil and said it is doing well.
“He was very timid at first, but seems to be settling in well now,” she said.
