E-fit released of Worthing sexual assault suspect

DETECTIVES investigating a sexual assault in Worthing have released an e-fit of a suspect.

The 17-year-old victim was walking to the railway station along Ladydell Road at about midday on Thursday, March 15, when a man ran towards her and assaulted her. Sussex Police said she managed to break free and raised the alarm with a member of the public.

Police have produced a computer image of the suspect. He is described as a man in his early 30s, of oriental appearance, roughly 5ft 11in tall and with a muscular build. He was wearing a black polo shirt and black cargo trousers.

DC Mandy Dunk, from Worthing CID, said: “The victim was left very shaken by her ordeal. We are anxious to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, who may have seen the suspect in the area prior to the attack or who thinks they may recognise him.
