A GROUP of South African children who had never before left their hometown, came to visit Worthing this week, spending four days at a Washington school.

The ten pupils from Etwatwa, a township just outside Johannesburg, made their fist voyage overseas to spend time at Windlesham House School, playing music and making friends.

The children, aged between ten and 12, are in a band together, and earned the chance to travel to England by excelling at playing the marimba, a traditional African xylophone.
