BARGAIN hunters flocked to Durrington High School in the hope of finding a hidden gem at the school’s first car boot sale for many years.
Organised by the members of the Durrington High fund-raisers team, the event was a success with pitches selling out far in advance and more than £800 raised for school funds.
Karen Purser, business and enterprise manager at the school in The Boulevard, said: “The event was fantastic, had a great atmosphere and was well attended.”
The car boot sale was supported by members of Worthing Lions, who raised additional funds on the day by doing bucket collections.
The event also featured a number of stalls, including one run by Oak Grove College selling plants.
The school hopes to stage another car boot sale in September.
