FOUR arty pupils have created the logo which will be used as Worthing celebrates the Queen’s diamond jubilee this summer.
Chesswood Middle School pupils Esther Frank, Sam Cundy, Henry Mainwaring and Polly Butler each designed a logo for the jubilee competition.
But competition organiser Vicky Vaughan struggled to choose a winner from their impressive efforts and decided to amalgamate the four designs into one.
The winning logo will be used as Worthing celebrates the Queen’s diamond jubilee with a party on the prom on June 16.
The children, Esther and Sam, aged seven, and Henry and Polly, aged nine, came up with their designs at an evening art club run by Chesswood teacher Nadia Chalk.
Nadia said: “The children were absolutely delighted to win.”
The children were tasked with creating a logo which reflected celebration and had a royal feel about it.
Esther drew the Queen with the curly hair on the right, while Sam designed the Queen with the diamond head in the centre.
Henry came up with the Queen on the left and the bunting. And Polly drew the Queen’s coach.
The children won a £50 voucher to develop creative talent at their school.
