FOR the second time in a week staff and pupils at the Sir Robert Woodard Academy are celebrating today (Thursday, August 23).
In total, 51 per cent of pupils achieved five A* to C grades, including English and maths – an increase from last year’s figure of 36 per cent.
One of the school’s top performers was Shu Ying Lin whose 15 A* to C grades included eight As and one A*.
Executive principal Colette Singleton said: “All our students deserve to be congratulated as do the staff who have worked so hard to bring about this remarkable improvement.”
More top performers and reaction will be in next week’s Herald GCSE special (Thursday, August 30, edition).
