WORTHING High School was closed today (Wednesday, July 11) as teaching staff, union members and parents held a strike against plans to turn it into an academy.
The Herald attended the strike as a group of around 40 people formed a picket line outside the school, in South Farm Road, Worthing.
Freelance photographer Eddie Mitchell took this video at the scene.
Dave Thomas, from the NUT, said staff wanted the school to remain within the local authority.
