STUDENTS at Davison High School impressed their teachers with their money spinning skills when they turned £30 into £429.
Each of the 30 students was given £1 at the start of a lesson about the Parable of the Talents.
Jean Page, from the school, said: “The story is about a master who gives his servants money and some use it well to make him more money, some do better than others, and one only returns what was given.
“Each girl had to return their pound exactly two weeks later with profit, like in the parable. They used their talents to make more money.”
The students pooled their pounds and held cake sales, a raffle, car washes, sponsored swims, dog walking and household chores to get a substantial return.
In just two weeks the students raised £429. The money will be split between the National Austistic Society and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
