A HEALTHY lifestyle and an active mind have helped Elsie Bracher to recently reach her 100th birthday.

Elsie, who turned 100 on June 29, celebrated by having two parties, one with family, and the other with friends from the club she attends at Methold House.

Elsie said: “I eat well, I sleep well and I use my brain as much as I possibly can. I have enjoyed everything, I have had a wonderful life. We are a happy family.”

She said she loved to sing and her favourite song was Que Sera Sera. Elsie sang as part of the Band of Hope at Crystal Palace in 1935.
