DOZENS of animals have died at a lake in Worthing this summer, leaving experts scratching their heads as to what is the cause.

Animal rescue service WADARS have responded to a number of calls about dead wildlife floating in the lake at Brooklands pleasure park in recent weeks.

WADARS senior animal rescue officer Billy Elliott is convinced that algae is causing the deaths, and says the council needs to clean up the lake.
