Father and daughter escape crash with minor injuries

A MAN and his two-year-old daughter were lucky to escape with only minor injuries, after the car they were travelling in crashed off the road on Sunday evening.

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident on the A27 at Castle Goring, near Worthing, that occurred at about 6.15pm on Sunday.

A silver Chrysler Grand Voyager travelling west was undertaken by a black Volkswagen Golf, causing it to leave the carriageway, crash into woods and overturn.

The driver, a 31-year-old Worthing man and his passenger, his two-year-old daughter, were both taken by ambulance to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries.

The VW Golf did not stop at the scene and continued driving in a westerly direction.
