Firefighters and paramedics were called to a house in Worthing this morning (Saturday, July 30).
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s aerial ladder platform was required to help recover an elderly woman from the property on Rowlands Road.
A fire service spokeswoman said firefighters managed to get the woman safely out of the building and she was left in the care of the paramedics.
It is believed she was then taken to hospital with a broken ankle.
