FOOTBALL: Kick-Off the season with our Albion and local non-league magazine

SUSSEX Newspapers have produced a special pre-season football magazine which will be launched at Brighton & Hove Albion's friendly with Aberdeen on Saturday (July 31).

With an exciting League One season in prospect for the Seagulls, we feature several Albion interviews, alongside a 10-page special on the American Express Community Stadium at Falmer – which is just a year away from opening.

There are exclusive interviews with manager Gus Poyet, first-team coach Charlie Oatway, defenders Tommy Elphick, Adam El-Abd, Inigo Calderon and Marcos Painter, new signing Matt Sparrow, keeper Peter Brezovan and striker Ashley Barnes.

Chief executive Martin Perry talks about the club's fight for the new stadium and celebrity fans Norman Cook and Des Lynam tell us their thoughts about the Amex Stadium.

All the top local non-league clubs are also featured, along with their fixtures for the season.

The magazine will cost just 2.95 and will be on sale at the Withdean Stadium on Saturday when Albion take on former manager Mark McGhee's Aberdeen side with the kick-off 3pm.

It will also be available from local newsagents, as well as the Herald office in Chatsworth Road, Worthing.
