DON’T forget to pick up this week’s Worthing Herald, out today, for your two-hour free parking voucher.
The Herald has teamed up with Adur and Worthing councils to offer readers the chance to park for free at the Buckingham Road car park in Worthing town centre.
Readers simply need to cut out the voucher, printed in the Herald, and present it to staff when entering the Buckingham Road car park.
The car park staff will swap it for a voucher which reduces your car park stay by £2 (two hours) when you come to pay.
The voucher can be used any day between 9am and 5pm from today (August 21) to Sunday, August 31.
The councils have teamed up with the Herald to encourage even more people to use the three town centre multi-storey car parks now that they are council-run.
Each voucher can only be used once per transaction but there is nothing to stop readers using a new voucher on another day.
That’s not all you will find in this week’s Herald.
We have several reports and pictures from the area’s colleges from A-Level results day.
There’s also a fascinating feature on the cardiac catheter lab at Worthing Hospital where doctors perform some amazing techniques including examining coronary arteries while a patient is lying awake.
Following on with health, we have a story about a brave man who has been diagnosed with a rare condition which could see him end up in a wheelchair. But instead of giving up on life, Ben Wait has decided to do a skydive, while he can, and raise money for charity.
We also have a preview to the Shoreham Airshow – and next week we will have an 8-page pull out free in the paper.
For all of this and much more, get your Herald this week.
