SELF-SERVICE machines are set to be installed in Goring Library next month.
It is part of West Sussex County Council plans to modernise the branch by letting readers borrow and return books themselves.
The library, on Mulberry Lane, will close at 5pm on Friday, September 14, while new IT and electrical systems are installed to accommodate the state-of-the-art terminals.
People will still be able to borrow up to 20 books before the temporary closure or use other nearby branches – including Worthing, Ferring and Durrington.
It will then reopen at 10am on Monday, October 1.
