STAFF and children at The Castle Day Nursery, East Worthing, have been doing their bit as a Keep Britain Tidy Eco School.

Over the past year, the children have taken part in lots of activities, such as making a bug hotel in the nursery’s woodland area, making bird feeders and bird baths and planting their own fruit and vegetables for the summer, and have already achieved the bronze Eco School award. Michelle Mayes, from the nursery, said: “The children, staff and parents have chosen the nursery’s local park, in Dominion Road, to be our designated litter-picking area. We feel it would be very rewarding to see our local park free from litter, so all the children within our community can enjoy playing and having fun.
