Staff at BMI Goring Hall Hospital are among those being honoured today on International Nurses Day.

Consultants, other staff and patients joined millions of people internationally in honouring the hard work, dedication and professionalism of nurses around the world.

Gary McHardy, director of nursing, said: “International Nurses Day provides us with an excellent opportunity to give back to our staff and recognise the hard work and dedication they put in every day to ensure our patients get top-notch medical treatment delivered within a friendly, comfortable and compassionate environment.

“I feel very fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated team of nurses and healthcare assistants at our hospital, so it’s an absolute pleasure to take a day out to pay tribute to the vital role they play in the running of Goring Hall Hospital.”

International Nurses Day is a day of recognition and celebration as nurses worldwide unite to take pride in their jobs and highlight the crucial role they play in the delivery of healthcare provision worldwide.

To celebrate the day, the hospitals’ healthcare team were treated to some cake to reward them for their hard work and dedication.
