PEOPLE across West Sussex are being invited to send in their inspiring photographs to brighten up the walls of a new hospital block.

A competition has been launched by Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust to find images for a new outpatient department at Worthing Hospital.

A selection of around 50 of the best entries to the ‘My West Sussex’ competition will be hung on the walls – and the best could win the first prize of £500 to spend at a specialist camera shop. The runner-up would receive £300 while £200 would go to third place.

The competition is being sponsored by EC Harris which is managing construction of the new block and has funded £1,000 worth of vouchers to be spent at Park Cameras in Burgess Hill. There is also a competition for under-16s, with prizes including binoculars, camera bag and two books on digital photography and British birds for the best entry, also donated by Park Cameras. Each entrant can submit up to three jpeg images to photos@wsht.nhs.uk with a caption of no more than 50 words (including when and where it was taken) before 5pm on Friday, November 25.
