AFTER an influx of volunteers came to the rescue of High Salvington windmill, it will hold its annual summer fête on Sunday (July 8).
It had been feared the mill would have to close for good, after volunteer numbers dwindled, but after a plea in the Herald dozens more came forward to save the ancient mill.
Now, these volunteers are helping the High Salvington Mill Trust to stage the event at the mill from 2-5pm on Sunday in Furze Hill, High Salvington.
Bob Potts, from the trust, said the trust was in a much more stable position now, and everybody was looking forward to the fête.
It will feature guided tours of the mill, raffles, refreshments, morris dancing and more.
