Worthing youth councillors brushed shoulders with Ed Miliband after an invite to visit Parliament by local MPs.

Worthing youth councillors brushed shoulders with Ed Miliband after an invite to visit Parliament by local MPs.

Cam Hughes, Worthing youth mayor, deputy mayorBrogan Kirkby-Bott, 17, and last year’s youth mayor, Liam Mills, were invited to attend Prime Minister’s Questions by Tim Loughton and Sir Peter Bottomley last Wednesday,

The trio were treated to a guided tour of Parliament, lunch at Portcullis House and watched the action in the Commons unfold.

The invite came as part of an ongoing link between the MPs and the youth council but last year the event did not go ahead, due to the students’ exam pressures.
