Invading Worthing teddies become Youtube sensation

Cyriak Harris has had five million views of his teddies invading Worthing seafront video

TEDDIES invading Worthing seafront – it sounds like something straight out of a bizarre horror film.

But for one enterprising video animator, his impressive imagination has made him a YouTube sensation.

Cyriak Harris, 38, started his unique teddies video project two years ago, and now has had more than five million views of his anarchic clip.

The video, which he made while living at Marine Parade, Worthing, features an army of bears and giant pigeons. And it has clearly has had quite some impact.

“I had the idea for the video many years before I moved to Worthing, but it was one of those ideas that takes a long time to work its way into the real world, and by the time it arrived it had developed some teddy bears for some reason.

“I’d not been living in Worthing long and knew nothing about the town, so it was my way of introducing myself,” said Cyriak, who has also produced work for the BBC.

He added: “I’m surprised it became so popular. It was a slightly different artistic direction for me so I’m really glad it worked. It was mostly improvised so I didn’t know what to expect until I saw the finished thing, this is the method I use in a lot of my videos now.”
