The headline sponsor for this year’s Herald and Gazette Community Stars Awards is JSPC Computer Services.
The company, which is based in Sompting but serves Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, is delighted to be backing the awards.
JSPC Computer Services managing director James Stoner said: “JSPC is very proud to be able to be a headline sponsor for this year’s community awards.
“The community awards are a wonderful way of being able to give something back to those who have sacrificed their time and many other things to help others.
“In these difficult economic times it is wonderful to see so many people working within the community to help others and to receive an award for this hard work is wonderful.”
JSPC has previously won its own awards, scooping the Small Business award and Mr Stoner being named the Business Person of the Year in the Adur and Worthing Business Awards, 2011.
Mr Stoner said: “We recognise that to win an award gives the greatest boost and the determination to continue to strive. We would like to give something back to the community and sponsoring this award allows us to say thanks.”
JSPC is a family-run business and is passionate about helping out and giving back.
“We work closely with local colleges in apprenticeship schemes to encourage people to learn new skills,” said Mr Stoner. “And we are very passionate about our local charity ‘love your hospital’ which works very hard to raise much-needed funds for new facilities in our local hospital.”
Mr Stoner said his company was looking forward to the awards night on December 9 at Worthing’s Dome Cinema, adding: “It is an honour to meet and work with people who truly are stars. We at JSPC recognise how important it is to have recognition for hard work. These awards recognise the unsung heroes in our community and allow us to step back, say thanks and show that we appreciate what others do for our community.”
JSPC is also sponsoring the Sporting Achievement category in our awards.
