Judo students' behaviour impresses Worthing mayor

After watching the juniors’ lesson, he made a speech expressing an interest in the students’ effort and their behaviour.

Club coach Chris Cooper said: “He said he was so impressed with the fighting and the discipline within the club. He willingly doned a Santa hat to give out the club’s annual Christmas presents, much to the delight of the students, and took time to answer questions and have photos taken afterwards.

“He is such a motivator even at this time of year when his diary is full.

“The club has done so well this year producing National and European Champions and the club just keeps getting bigger and stronger. I am so proud of them, so it was apt to have someone special to hand out their gifts.”

Worthing Judo Club is part of the Judo for All UK, national governing body for TraditionalKodokanJudo.
