TWO public meetings will be held on the controversial housing development outlined under the Adur Draft Local Plan.
Residents will be able to find out more about the proposals and have their say on the plans.
MP for Shoreham and East Worthing Tim Loughton will chair both meetings, one of which will be held in Sompting and the other in Lancing,
The Lancing meeting will take place at Lancing Parish Hall in South Street, Lancing, on Thursday, October 31, from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The Sompting meeting will be held at Sompting Village Primary School in White Styles Road, Sompting, on Saturday, October 26, from 2pm to 4pm.
Mr Loughton said: “The consultation on the latest draft of the Adur Local Plan is the most important challenge facing constituents in Lancing & Sompting in particular at the moment.
“It is vital that as many people as possible engage with the formal consultation by November 7th and have their say to empower our councillors to stand up against some of the worst excesses of the proposals being put forward.
“The changes to the original plans which removed the land north of West Beach show how this is a genuine consultation and not a done deal.
“The two public meetings we have organised for Lancing and Sompting will give an excellent opportunity for people to come along and raise their concerns in front of councillors, council officers and others and make sure they are taken on board.”
