CHILDREN at a Lancing school were given a practical lesson in renewable energy when they visited an empty building earmarked to become one of the leading water sports centres in the country.

Year-four pupils at Seaside Primary School, in Freshbrook Road, visited the disused building in Beach Green last Wednesday as part of their project, Saving Planet Earth.

They met with the building’s owner, Alex Hole, and quizzed him on how the centre would be environmentally sustainable after listening to a talk by Mr Hole.
