CHURCHGOERS helped a family in one of the world’s poorest countries when they raised the funds to buy them a cow.
Parishioners at Lancing Tabernacle, in North Street, held a tea and cake event and a concert and raised £988.
The money will pay for a family in Burundi, Africa, to have a cow, which can be used for milk and manure for crops.
Elaine Brunton, a parishioner at Lancing Tabernacle and one of the concert’s organisers, said: “For a family to have a cow makes such a difference to their lives.
