THIS is the last chance for young hopefuls to get involved in the race to become the 2012 Broadwater Carnival Princess.
The Herald has teamed up with the organisers of the carnival and started appealing for princesses last month. It is now the last week for entries to be submitted via post or email.
The Broadwater Carnival, which is on July 21, is taking on the theme of children’s TV characters this year, and needs to be led by a young princess.
The winner of the competition will lead the carnival procession, sporting a crown and a sash. She will also win a £50 cash prize, a mystery gift, a photo session with Williams Fotos, and will get money towards a dress for the big day.
All entrants for the princess competition should be from the Worthing or Lancing area, and be aged between eight and 12.
After all the entries are in, readers will vote to find the top three. All entrants will be invited to a disco at the Broadwater Working Men’s Club, on May 19, where a judging panel will make the final decision and crown the 2012 princess.
Next week, the Herald will publish the photographs of the entrants and a voting form.
To enter, email firstname.lastname@example.org with a picture of the girl, along with her name, address, postcode, contact number and age. All entries must be received by 10am on Tuesday, May 8.
