SHOREHAM lifeboat crews were involved in two searches off Worthing over the weekend.
The inshore lifeboat was called at 10.30pm on Friday to a report of a missing swimmer in Worthing.
The crew searched for an hour around the Worthing Pier area but nothing was found.
They were stood down and returned to station.
Then on Saturday, while afloat on exercise, the inshore lifeboat was sent to search around Worthing Pier again at 3.05pm.
A spear fisherman had been reported has overdue, having been missing for three hours.
As the crew proceeded to the area, they were stood down at East Worthing, as the fisherman had come ashore safely.
The inshore lifeboat completed its exercise and returned to the station on Kingston Beach.
